Lussa Gin

Gin from the wilderness of the Isle of Jura

Lussa Gin Team Small)

Lussa Gin was founded by Alicia, Claire and Georgina at the north end of the Isle of Jura in 2015 and is named after the place in which it was created. They distill using 15 botanicals that they can grow or forage from the island using spring water from the Lussa Glen.

They started in a kitchen with a tiny 10 litre still (called Jim) and have now renovated a disused stables building to house their distillery, which these days includes a 200 litre copper alembic still (called Hamish). The team have won several awards and the result is a zesty, aromatic, dry gin.

The Lussa Gin distillery can be reached by single track road and is 25 miles from the Jura Ferry. Or you can arrive in style at the Ardlussa Pier with Jura Boat Tours and stroll up the hill in 15 minutes.

Opening Times

Monday to Friday 10:00 to 16:30. Tours and tastings are available by appointment.
