There is so much to see and do on Jura. So get your camera at the ready.

Everything is framed by mountains and sky and the majestic Paps of Jura are a sight to behold. While you’re here, see as much wildlife as you can. Which won’t be hard seeing as Red Deer outnumber people on the island by around 28 to 1.

JURA CRAFT FAIR

Jura Craft Fair runs in the Village Hall and is the perfect place to pick up a locally made gift. It's held every Wednesday in July and August (10.30 - 4.30pm) as well as on the day of Feis Ile (Jura Festival) and the Friday of Fells Race Weekend.

JURA DISTILLERY

Explore the Isle of Jura’s only whisky distillery and see how whisky is made by the people in our tiny island community. We welcome visitors all year round, but please book in advance if you would like to to join a tour.

JURA PARISH CHURCH

Jura Parish Church is not just a place for Sunday worship (it is open to residents and visitors alike). During the rest of the week, it is a popular destination for visitors due to its fantastic exhibition of old island photos.

Lussa Gin

Lussa Gin was founded by Alicia, Claire and Georgina in 2015 and is named after the place it was created. They distill using 15 botanicals grown or foraged on Jura and use spring water from Lussa Glen. Tours and tastings available by appointment.

SOUND OF JURA & XA MUSIC

Knockrome Old School on Lowlandmans Bay houses both XA Music and Sound Of Jura. Owner Giles Perring uses the studio for music production, events and cross-media art. Tuesday night is Tunesnight, an evening of social singing open to all.

Philippa McCallum offers a health and wellness service providing massage, yoga and occupational therapy. Various individual massage treatments are available, plus 1:1 or 1:2 yoga classes and regular weekly group Yoga classes online or in-person.

DEER STALKING SEASON ON JURA

A note for visitors and walkers on the hills - Deer stalking takes place between the months of July and February, so if you plan to visit us during these months, please, as a courtesy contact the relevant estates in advance before you plan to go on your walk.
