Jura Distillery

Home of the world famous single malt scotch whisky

Founded in 1810, the island's whisky distillery was officially license in 1831 and ran up until 1901 when it was hit by financial difficulties and fell into ruin. Despite this and the two World Wars which followed, the true Diurach spirit remained and in 1963, the distillery was brought back to life to be the lifeblood of the community, helping it to grow and prosper. Today, the distillery is proud to be part of a thriving community of 212 people who call Jura home.

Jura Distillery is the home of the world famous Jura Single Malt Scotch Whisky and welcomes visitors all year round.
