Crackaig Textile Studio is where you can find Fiona MacDonald working on a wide range of products made using crochet, knitting and weaving. Fiona has a BA in woven textile from the West Surrey College of Art & Design, which specialised in the traditional crafts of spinning and natural dyeing.
Brought up in Cornwall, she moved to Jura in 1979 where she has built her own cordwood workshop and has even designed the Isle of Jura Tartan (registered tartan).
Hats, rugs, throws, cushions, headbands, bags and more are available to purchase.
Short courses in spinning and weaving can be arranged should you wish to try your hand at this traditional crafts.
